Privacy Policy

Scale Local Business provides QR-based review, feedback and reward campaigns for local businesses. Two groups of people use the service: business owners who create campaigns, and their customers who scan a campaign QR code.

• Account email address and business name.
• Campaign settings: branding, colours, links, prizes and stock limits.
• Uploaded media such as logos and product images.

• Reward delivery details: email address, plus an optional name and phone number.
• Marketing consent: whether the customer opted in to hear from the business.
• Feedback: a rating from 1 to 5 and an optional comment.
• Activity: that a QR code was scanned and which buttons were tapped, together with a non-identifying device fingerprint used to prevent repeat entries.

We do not collect payment details from customers, and we never read or store the content of any review left on Google.

• To issue and deliver reward codes.
• To show the business its campaign performance and private feedback.
• To prevent abuse, such as one person claiming multiple rewards.
• To send marketing messages only where the customer explicitly opted in.

Customer data belongs to the business running the campaign. Each business can only access data from its own campaigns; access is enforced at the database level. We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.

Campaign data is kept while the account is active. A business owner can delete a campaign at any time, which removes its associated leads and feedback. Customers can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by contacting the business or by writing to us through the contact page.

Reviews are left directly on Google. They are voluntary, are never a condition of receiving a reward, and are not filtered or moderated by us.
